Now, continuing the series, I would like to narrate one more surprising as well as shocking story of a Dubai Sheikh and an Indian couple en route to Dubai for their honeymoon. This is a real story, not a fictional one, just the events may be dramatized a little as per writer’s literary freedom. Keep in mind one thing, as you read on- that there are ABSOLUTELY no free lunches in the world! Here I go….

Once an Indian couple was going on a honeymoon trip to Dubai. They were waiting at the Delhi airport lounge before boarding their flight and they were having a good time. Incidentally, one filthy rich young Sheikh from Dubai also happened to visit the same lounge. The beauty of the newlywed lady caught the eyes of the Sheikh, so he decided to approach the couple to develop a “friendship”. He asked them about their complete trip including their travel plan and their stay in Dubai. The couple got excited to meet the filthy rich Sheikh, because they were from a middle class family. Soon, they became friends after an hour of conversation. The Sheikh promised them that he will make their trip a memorable experience, so he first offered to upgrade their seats from Economy class to First class on an Emirates flight! The couple’s joy knew no bounds, and without a second thought they accepted Sheikh’s kind offer.  The husband and wife were on cloud nine as they relished the Arabian dates, avocado shake and the premium champagne sourced from France. They thoroughly enjoyed first class hospitality and the personalized attention from the beautiful air hostesses.

When the flight landed in Dubai, Sheikh called limousine for the couple. But, here was another catch! He called 2 limousines instead of one for the couple! At the first instance, the couple got a little suspicious that what is the need of two limousines? But, as Sheikh offered them a luxurious and opulent suite room in his own hotel, so the couple agreed. The husband sat in one limousine and the wife followed in the second limo! So far, so good! They were enjoying the extravaganza they were offered and couldn’t thank God enough for the fateful encounter with Sheikh in Delhi airport lounge. The husband couldn’t take his eyes off the interiors of limousine, it was like a dream come true for him. The wife was too excited to see the suite room exclusively booked by Sheikh for them.

Once they reached the hotel, Sheikh informed the husband to proceed towards the suite room. The husband asked about his wife, to which Sheikh told that her car is just arriving and meanwhile he can check-in. In his excitement of seeing the luxurious room, he checked-in and went straight to his room. After a few minutes passed, he went downstairs to check where his wife was. Sheikh was nowhere to be seen. The husband began to worry now. So, he called Sheikh and asked about his wife. You know, what Sheikh answered? “Which wife are you talking about?” As soon as these words fell on the eardrums of the husband, his world shattered in just a fraction of seconds! All excitement turned into agony and he immediately understood that they have been duped by the Sheikh. In a country where Sheikhs are the king, he had no remedy for the situation he got trapped in. He tried his best to locate his wife, but to no avail! Unfortunately, he had to return back to India without his wife!

Now, this takes me to where I had started off- that there are ABSOLUTELY no free lunches in the world! And if there are any, then they are nothing but mousetraps to catch you and take advantage of you! So, if some Sheikh offers you something in future without expecting anything in return, then you know what do to 😀
